Latest Buffalo Bills moves analyzed

The Buffalo Bills have made several moves this past week to get themselves under the salary cap before the start of the league year this week.

The moves are a signal that Buffalo will look different for 2024.

The Bills released cornerback Tre’Davious White, safety Jordan Poyer and center Mitch Morse, defensive back Siran Neal, return specialist Deonte Harty and running back kick Nyheim Hines.

The team also restructured the contract of troubled defensive player Von Miller.

The reworking of Miller’s contract saved the Bills $9 million in cap space.

White, Poyer and Morse are all former Pro Bowlers and shows the desire of the Bills to get younger and cheaper at key positions.

The Bills are still around $1 million over the salary cap and will look to go hit big in the draft to address roster needs.

The Bills have won 4 straight division titles and been to the playoffs the last 5 years under Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen.

However, they have played in only one AFC Title game which was in 2020.  The Bills are 0-4 in the postseason against the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs.
