Bills add speedy WR, pass-rush specialist in latest Mock Draft

This past week, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has made comments about his confidence in Buffalo winning the Super Bowl during his tenure.

“It’s not a matter of if. It’s just a matter of when, that is the relentless pursuit,” McDermott told Tim Graham of the Athletic.

The Bills are currently $41.3 million over the salary cap and will be looking to the NFL Draft to find missing pieces that will get them past Kansas City, Cincinnati or Houston in 2024.

Here is a 2 round mock draft for Buffalo:

Round 1; Pick 28: Brian Thomas Jr WR, LSU.

Thomas has deep speed and could be much needed in a depleted wide receiving corps. Coupled with Diggs on the outside and Kincaid underneath, Thomas could be a big addition. He caught 17 passes for LSU last season

Round 2; Pick 60: Jonah Ellis, DE, Utah. He

Ellis recorded 41 quarterback pressures in 2023. That could be a needed asset against Mahomes. Pro Football Focus gave him a grade of 84.7, making him the eighth-ranked edge defender.

The Buffalo Bills have been a preseason favorite for many analysts the last few years to win the Super Bowl.

They continue to underperform when it matters most.

Knocking it out of the park in this year’s draft could be what puts them over the edge.

The draft is from April 25th to the 27th in Detroit.
